Complete guide to using Toolther platform

Getting Started

Welcome to Toolther! This platform allows you to create, mint, and manage Solana blockchain tokens with ease.

Prerequisites

  • A Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.)
  • SOL tokens for transaction fees
  • Basic understanding of blockchain concepts

Creating Tokens

Follow these steps to create your first Solana token:

  1. Connect Wallet: Click "Connect Wallet" and authorize the connection
  2. Fill Token Details: Enter token name, symbol, and description
  3. Set Parameters: Choose initial supply and decimal places (0-9)
  4. Upload Image: Optionally add a token logo (IPFS on mainnet)
  5. Review & Create: Check all details and confirm creation

Pro Tips

  • Use descriptive names and symbols for better recognition
  • 9 decimals provide maximum precision for most use cases
  • Test on devnet before deploying to mainnet

Update Metadata

After creating a token, you can manage it through various tools:

Mint Authority

Create additional tokens and manage supply. You can also revoke mint authority for security.

Freeze Authority

Freeze or thaw specific token accounts. Useful for compliance and security purposes.

Networks

Mainnet

Production network for real tokens with real value.

  • • Real SOL required for fees
  • • IPFS metadata storage
  • • Permanent blockchain records

Devnet

Testing network for development and experimentation.

  • • Free SOL from faucets
  • • No real value
  • • Perfect for testing

Fees & Costs

Understanding the costs involved in token creation:

Network Fees

  • Account creation: ~0.002 SOL
  • Transaction fees: ~0.000005 SOL
  • IPFS storage: Included in service fee

Service Fees

Our platform charges a small service fee for token creation and management features. Fees vary based on network and selected options.

Security

Best practices for keeping your tokens and wallet secure:

Critical Security Tips

  • Never share your private keys or seed phrase
  • Use hardware wallets for large amounts
  • Verify all transaction details before confirming
  • Keep your wallet software updated
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Insufficient Balance

Ensure you have enough SOL for fees. Check the fee breakdown before proceeding.

Transaction Failed

Check network congestion and try again. Increase priority fee if needed.

Wallet Connection Issues

Refresh the page and reconnect your wallet. Ensure wallet extension is active.
